Women’s Fund in Georgia is a non-governmental organization. Its goal is to strengthen women and women’s organizations, initiative groups and activists in Georgia for the realization of women’s rights, their full participation in public life and self-realization, through financial and technical assistance, skill development, and the formation of feminist philanthropy.
Here is the review of Women’s Fund for February, 2024.
- In February, Women’s Fund prepared a video in which the Adjara Nursing Association tells us how they try to improve the working environment of nurses and inform them about their labor rights. The video deals with the problems faced by nurses at the workplace, such as not being able to use their vacation leave, working overtime, low pay, taking care of a large number of patients, having additional duties, working without a contract, not having a health insurance despite hard physical work, and others.
- In February, the organization published 3 new episodes of the Feminstream podcast on anti-gender campaigns, not so visible parts of the work and exploitation of women working as au pairs, and the problem of labor migration and women’s double work in the Javakheti region. Feminstream is a feminist podcast published on Facebook and YouTube, as well as Soundcloud, Spotify and other platforms. In addition, the text version of the podcasts is published on the websites of both Women’s Fund and the social-political online publication Publika and Aprili Media.
